Iran’s new envoy to Riyadh appointed

TEHRAN -- Mohammad Hosseini has been appointed as Iran’s new ambassador to Saudi Arabia, the Foreign Ministry Press Department announced on Saturday.

Hosseini had previously served as Iran’s ambassador to Senegal, Gambia, and Cape Verde. He also had a position in the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting.

Hosseini holds a PhD in political science from Jean Moulin University of France.
